The United States invests in research

The US Department of Energy is allocating $52 million to manufacturing, recycling and solar cell technology, as well as investment in grid security and community solar power.

Projects will focus on

on the end-of-life process and recycling of solar panels, on domestic manufacturing and on research and testing projects dedicated to the development and improvement of US-made cell technologies. In particular, cadmium telluride (CdTe) and perovskite cells will be studied.
