Will there be an end to the cancellation of tariffs on PV products imported into the US?

The US House of Representatives Committee has approved a bill to reinstate AD/CVD tariffs on PV imports. The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA)

says the approval "is a hammer blow to business certainty and US energy independence."400 US solar companies have just asked Congress to maintain the AD/CVD waiver for tariffs. They warn of retroactive duties that could reach $1 billion.

Editor's note: What does this desire to reinstate tariffs have to do with the creation of a PV industry? Is it a regret of the federal budget in the face of the magnitude of the expenses that will be spent? To curb imports of photovoltaic products? The observation that two years is too long a period in the face of industrial change in the United States? It is understandable that importers and installers are protesting against such a change in regulations!
