In brief in France: seawater desalination, two new self-consumption solutions for private homes

  • A seawater desalination plant designed by Texep Aquaviva has been inaugurated in the port of Port-Vendres (photo). It operates

powered by solar energy. It has a daily capacity of 11m3 at a cost of €4 perm3.

  • EverWatt creates Soleriel to install panels on private roofs and develop self-consumption
  • France's Hestiom is launching a solution combining PV panels and storage for self-consumption by private individuals.

Hestiom is an energy efficiency specialist with three subsidiaries: Aterno for electric heating, Aterno ENR for renewable energies, and PowerPark for shading systems for businesses. Sales have reached €50m, with average annual growth of 10%. Hestiom has installed its products for 350,000 customers.
