Solar panels on council housing roofs for 20% self-consumption

Plurial Novilia, a social housing company, has fitted solar panels to 123 houses in the Reims area. The electricity is redistributed

free of charge to residents. This reduces electricity bills by 20%.

On average, 3.3 MWh/year of solar-generated electricity will be produced per house equipped, giving a total of 405 MWh/year for the project as a whole. 90% of this electricity is expected to be self-consumed, i.e. consumed directly by the residents of these homes.
