The European Commission has a new idea!!!

Having failed to convince the Commission of its plan to rebuild a photovoltaic industry in Europe, the Commission has announced a proposal for a law on the net zero industry, i.e. on technologies capable of decarbonising Europe. It would like to develop photovoltaic energy,

increase the competitiveness of net-zero technologies manufactured in the European Union (EU) and ensure that at least 40% of the demand for clean technologies in the EU can be met by domestic production by 2030.

The Commission wants to reduce dependence on sole suppliers of technologies such as solar panels. To achieve this, these technologies would be subject to the 40% domestic production criterion.

At the same time, the European Commission has announced the adoption of the Critical Raw Materials Act to diversify its imports of key raw materials. As a result, the EU will diversify its raw material supply chain by limiting its annual consumption of each raw material from a single third country to 65%.The EU will therefore diversify its raw material supply chain by limiting its annual consumption of each raw material from a single third country to 65% and by seeking "mutually beneficial" partnerships with emerging markets and developing economies.

Immediately, SolarPower Europe is concerned that the Commission's decisions will hamper solar installations by limiting imports from dominant geographical areas. The organisation is calling for a financial vehicle

Editor's note: In its madness of decisions and regulations, the Commission believes that by enacting laws, it will encourage the creation of a PV industry. It has not yet realised what the industrialists, the only ones capable of manufacturing panels, want. So it is getting restless. The media rarely report on her gesticulations. As if we were aware that she was acting for herself, and not for the European population.
