China accounts for 91% of PV investment in 2022

China is almost alone in its industrial investment in silicon photovoltaics. It alone accounts for 91% of global industrial investment in 2022, which has increased by 55% over 2021. It therefore dominates the sector.

This situation is the direct result of a technological choice made in the 2010s.
