Another pilot project in India by Gravitricity

After having completed one or two pilot projects(a new gravity energy storage system), Gravitricity plans to build a new one in India. For this purpose,

the company obtained £194,000 from the UK government.

It would build a deep well capable of holding a large weight (up to 12,000 tonnes). This weight absorbs energy as it rises. It gives it back when it is released.

Gravitricity claims that its system stores energy at half the cost of a lithium ion battery, and can operate for 50 years.
