PI Berlin joins the Solar Stewardship Initiative (SSI)
Launched in October by Solar Power Europe (SPE), the Solar Stewardship Initiative (SSI) aims to develop responsible, transparent and sustainable solar value chains.
thanks to the SSI Code, a comprehensive corporate sustainability standard. In other words, it's all about building confidence in how and where photovoltaic products are manufactured(see "SSI Code"). SolarPower Europe and Solar Energy UK have launched SSI (Solar Stewardship Initiative))
The SSI has just been strengthened with the arrival of PI Berlin as a technical advisor, risk manager and quality assurance provider in the field of PV technology.
The project will start in 2023.
The main aim of the ISS is to ensure that all products imported into Europe meet certain environmental, social and governmental requirements, but the long-term ambition is to make it a global standard.
