Independent renewable energy producer JP Energie Environnement operates
13 wind farms and 61 solar farms in France. By 2021, JPEE will have produced the equivalent of the annual consumption of 500,000 inhabitants. The company has 313 MW of wind and solar projects under construction and 1,940 MW under development. Its ambition for 2026 is to reach an installed capacity of 1 GW of wind and solar projects.
The projects are financed in conjunction with Banque des Territoires, which has been investing 49% of the value of the projects since January 2019. Together, they have already invested in more than 30 solar and wind projects with an installed capacity of around 325 MW. The target has now been raised to 700 MW by 2028. JPEE is also using participatory financing, having raised €1.5 million since 2019.
