Company news: First Solar, Axpo, floating plant, round photovoltaic panel

First Solar has just determined the location of its factory.

It will have a manufacturing capacity of 3.5 GW-dc per year and cost $1.1 billion.

First Solar will supply an additional 4.9 GW-dc of its thin-film PV panels to renewable energy developer Intersect Power.
