In the first nine months, LONGi estimates sales of around RMB 87 billion.
($12.2 billion) and net profit of around RMB11 billion, giving a net margin of 12.6%. This performance is said to be due to increased deliveries of silicon wafers and panels (Editor's note: the company neglects to mention that it has substantially increased the price of its wafers, which has contributed to the improvement in its profitability).
Trina Solar estimates that it made a net profit of between RMB 2.0 and 2.5 billion in the first nine months.
