French companies in brief: Neoen batteries in Australia, TSE's agrivoltaic project
French companies in brief:
Neoen asks to build a large 1 GW / 4 GWh battery
in Western Australia. Construction would take place in five stages, over ten years as required. Neoen has also applied for approval to build a new switchgear facility, a 330/33 kV substation with step-up transformers, and 330 kV overhead cables to connect to Western Power's existing transmission infrastructure.

France's TSE has commissioned its first agrivoltaic pilot project in north-east France. The 2.4 MW installation covers 3 hectares. It is installed on arable land used to grow soya, wheat, rye, barley and rapeseed.
The company will be building three other pilot sites by the end of the year. It will conduct agronomic trials over a nine-year period on a 5-hectare area to demonstrate the effectiveness of the photovoltaic canopy on different crops.
