Several players are positioning themselves on the electric vehicle recharging market:

Shell will use the Israeli Driivz charging platform in Europe.

Nissan will offer Femata Energy's bi-directional charging in the US market.

Schneider Electric presented its new charger. It connects to home management systems to monitor charging times,CO2 emissions and energy consumption of EVs in real time.

BMW and E.On have launched a pilot project in Germany for bi-directional charging between EVs and photovoltaics.

Svolt will open a second battery cell production plant in Brandenburg (Germany) in 2025. It will have a capacity of 16 GWh per year.

Researchers at Argonne National Laboratory have identified a fundamental source of instability in nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) oxide cathodes: what they thought were single crystals actually had boundaries within them. These boundaries lead to the release of oxygen at high voltages and thus to a drop in performance.
