Pierre Genin appointed General Delegate of AuRA Digital Solaire, the photovoltaic industry association for the Auvergne-Rhône Alpes region
The AuRA Digital Solaire association recognises two current obstacles to the development of photovoltaics:
"It will also be necessary to help developers of large-scale photovoltaic power plants to bring their projects to fruition, because without these installations, the targets set by the EU and France will be difficult to achieve. Inflation in raw materials prices and the difference in the selling price of solar energy on the electricity grid between the start and end of projects are creating a "scissor effect" that is harmful to the sector. It is essential to shorten the authorisation timescales in order to encourage the emergence of new projects that are vital to a rapid energy transition".
The other issue is the question of land, which can be resolved by making maximum use of land that has already been developed (car parks, wasteland, etc.), but also by promoting solutions that reconcile different uses, in particular through agrivoltaics,
