Modernising electrical infrastructure in the United States
The US Department of the Environment is launching a $20 billion initiative to improve electricity transmission infrastructure across the country. The programme will
aims to identify national transmission needs and support the construction of long-distance, high-voltage transmission facilities. These are essential if the United States is to achieve its goal of producing 100% clean electricity by 2035 and reaching net zero by 2050.
