In brief from China: silicon production in September
In September, China's total silicon production amounted to 42,800
metric tonnes, up slightly from August. In October, silicon production will not exceed the figures of the last two months and prices are expected to continue to rise, the China Silicon Association said. Two of the top 12 silicon manufacturers are conducting annual reviews and will not resume operations until the end of October
