Denmark is introducing a new grant programme ($7 million) to support the installation of electric heat pumps on a commercial scale. It is reserved for companies specialising in district heating. It aims to replace coal, oil or gas fired installations in order to convert them to electricity

Dutch grid operator Tennet has warned the regulator of new bottlenecks, due to "rapid growth in wind and solar farms". This will require Tennet to divide the electricity grid into four sections, and install new transformers
