In brief from R&D: CEA-INES, chlorine + perovskite, transparent solar cell, 24.6% TOPCon, black panel, 21.4% CIGS

R & D highlights: CEA-INES, chlorine for perovskite, transparent solar cell, TOPCon at 24.6%, black panel, CIGS at 21.4

CEA-INES presents a shingled heterojunction photovoltaic panel with an efficiency of 21.41% (active surface)

and 20.95% for the panels without non-blocking UV encapsulant with a density of 214.1 W/m² and a power of 315.6 W.

The heterojunction cells were cut into six strips and the panel was assembled without metal tape welded to the cells or gaps between the cells, thus increasing its active surface area. In August 2020, the CEA achieved an efficiency of 25.0% for a heterojunction solar cell with an active surface of 213 cm².
