Prime Minister says he wants massive development of renewable energy
During his visit to Saint Nazaire, the Prime Minister stated that he wanted to see the massive development of renewable energies. They represent 25 % of
of electricity production last year. Between 2017 and 2020, French RE received €6 billion in aid.
Jean Castex announced "€25 billion in investments over the next five years (2021-2026) to support 25 GW of new RE capacity. This represents almost 10% of our electricity consumption. Of this amount, almost two thirds will go to solar energy, which is the priority axis of our strategy in terms of electric renewable energy.
Thus," the Prime Minister continued, "we need and nuclear power and renewable energies.
