In short new products: Fimer PowerGain, new Leclanché storage, new REC Alpha panel

The Italian manufacturer Fimer is installing the Fimer PowerGain MPPT algorithm in its string inverters. This system

is able to mitigate the effects of shading and increase the energy production of the PV system. It is an intelligent function that periodically checks whether the PV system is capable of producing more energy. Indeed, with the PowerGain function, the inverter quickly scans the input voltage and identifies the absolute maximum power point within milliseconds. This prevents it from working on the lower peaks of the curve, which would result in less energy being produced. It can schedule the number of scans per hour up to 60 and offers a saving of up to 10% compared to photovoltaic systems using traditional inverters

Swiss company Leclanché is launching a new battery storage system called "LeBlock". It is characterised by scalability, modularity, low carbon footprint and environmental impact. It consists of a series of interchangeable five-foot-wide blocks that nest together to allow shipping in a standard 20-foot ISO container and serve as a robust enclosure for the installed system. Pre-installed wiring and connectors allow for quick set-up.
