Brilliant quarterly turnover for BayWa r.e.

The German distributor BayWa r.e. benefited from a very high demand for panels

in thefirst quarter and sold a solar power plant in Japan. As a result, the company achieved revenues of €662m, up 73% year-on-year. It concluded a power purchase agreement in Poland for HeidelbergCement for 65 MWp

Thanks to the capital increase earlier this year, the company expects to build 1.1 GW of solar and wind projects in 2021, and expects a strong increase in renewable sales in the second half of the year.
