In brief from abroad: URE increases capacity; new Hyundai panels

Taiwan's URE has received large orders that exceed its panel production capacity

currently 1.1 GW (0.6 GW in Taiwan and 0.5 GW in Vietnam). It will increase this capacity by almost half (+ 0.5 GW) during the year. The company has a cell production capacity of 2.5 GW (1.5 GW in Taiwan, 1 GW divided between Vietnam and Thailand).

In 2020, sales amounted to TWD 12.5 billion ($448 million). Its sales accounted for about 40% of the country's total solar demand last year, which reached 1.5 GW.
