EES Munich is trying to attract exhibitors and visitors
The EES trade fair from 21 to 23 July 2021 in Munich is trying to attract exhibitors and visitors by emphasising the importance of industry and the use of hydrogen in Germany: it represents over
20% of European consumption with 70 TWh. It is therefore useful to look at new technologies in the field of batteries, energy storage, fuel cells, green energy.
The production of green hydrogen requires a large amount of energy and must be developed in conjunction with solar and wind energy. The increase in electricity needs to reach 65% in the German energy mix would require a doubling by 2030 of currently installed renewable electricity production capacity. It would have to be increased to 125 GW. The expansion of renewable energies and the development of hydrogen production must therefore be coordinated in parallel.
