In short, capital raising: Solar Technology (€2m), Eiffel IG (€300m), InnoVent ( €8m ), Octopus Renewables (€126m), Arkolia Energies ( €80m)

After collecting €2m last December, Technique Solaire is now offering a second collection.

2 million since 15 February from various French investors, paying them 4% gross per annum over five years. It needs equity capital to increase its operating fleet from 89 MW at the end of 2020 to 100 MWp at the end of 2021, with the aim of achieving 1 GWp of solar power plants in operation by 2024.

Editor's note The lack of equity capital will very quickly lead this company to move closer to other groups. This participative collection is nice but increases the group's financial indebtedness. It will not be able to reach its objective of 1 GWc within five years with its current means.

Either the three founders want to continue the adventure themselves and they will progress at a slow pace; or they want to reach the gigawatt in 2024 and they need other financial means. The choice will also and above all be made according to the progressive change in the power plant construction sector, which gives priority to the biggest players who can obtain the best financing rate, the highest percentage of debt in a project. Once they see this, they will sell.

Eiffel Investment Group created the Eiffel Essentiel fund. It was created with a €300 million contribution from various investors, including €80 million from the European Investment Bank. Its purpose is to finance the most promising European energy transition companies. They need capital to finance their industrial growth. The fund can support them over the long term by investing up to €50 million and help them to change dimension.

The fund would like to increase its investment capacity from €300m to €500m by the end of 2021 or early 2022.

With this creation, Eiffel Investment Group has €1 billion under management.

The most important operation of participative financing has just been completed. (Editor's note: they all have a ceiling of €8 million. It is therefore not the most important one).. It brought together 3,004 lenders who provided €8 million to finance 24 MW of InnoVent projects.

This €8 million is the authorised collection ceiling for an operation provided by participatory investment advisors. Lendosphere has carried out this operation and has since the beginning obtained €90 million in collection since the end of 2014.

Editor's note To try to get people talking about them, companies but also intermediaries use all kinds of subjects to attract attention. Journalists must avoid being manipulated by this uninteresting information and at the same time talk about it when it seems significant... A difficult exercise.

What does a developer do if not develop a project, look for financing, start construction and then inaugurate the plant? This can constitute four reasons for press releases and as many requests as there is talk of the project. As there are a large number of developers, there are four times this large number of developers in the form of "documents"! To the detriment of more important or more significant articles!

Octopus Renewables' solar portfolio (119.5 MW) has been refinanced for €126m. This transaction reduced the interest outstanding and extended the term of the financing.
