China installed 48.2 GW of solar power in 2020 (+60% over 2019), according to the National Energy Administration,

of which 22.3 GW in December. This rush on installations in December may be linked to the authorities' threat to abolish subsidies for solar energy in 2021. The installed capacity reaches 250 GW by the end of 2020.

China has also installed 71.7 GW of wind power (including 47 GW in December alone). The installed capacity reaches 280 GW.
