BayWa r.e. wants to build up a power plant asset base
German developer BayWa r.e. to increase its capital by €530m and bring in Energy's funds
Infrastructure Partners, for 49%. BayWa AG will remain the majority shareholder of BayWa r.e. with 51%. This transaction is intended to transform the company into an independent power producer.
BayWa r.e. has 13 GW in projects in Europe, the USA and the Asia-Pacific region. The company expects to eventually have 3 GW of solar and wind power.
