Construction of a solar power plant dedicated to hydrogen in the Netherlands
The Dutch subsidiary of BayWa r.e. and Liander, the largest energy distributor in the Netherlands, to build a 50 MWp solar power plant to be coupled with an electrolyser
in the north-east of Friesland (Holland).
The objective is to test how a solar power plant with variable output can supply the electrolyser; how the electrolyser can absorb excess RE production; what are the optimal performances between an electrolyser and a solar power plant.
The whole system should be operational by mid-2021.
