A look at the bright future of floating power plants
Why go to the water to find what can be built on land? Why should we want to obtain energy that is 10 to 15% more expensive than that obtained from good land-based power plants? Has it been thought that humidity and electricity do not mix? And then build on a surface that moves all the time! How do you arrange the panels, which may not be simultaneously oriented in the same direction because of the waves? Conceptual, technical and financial obstacles stood in the way of developing floating power plants. However, the evolution is obvious. Who still believes that the future of photovoltaics is on land?
