The carbon tax at borders is starting to worry Europe's partners: the Commission is due to present its plan for a carbon tax at borders in March 2021. Aimed at boosting the competitiveness of Europe's carbon-constrained manufacturers, the mechanism is causing old-world trading partners to grind their teeth. Australian consultants are now advising their clients to prepare for the introduction of the Border Carbon Adjustment Facility (BCAF).
