In the UK, unsubsidised solar buildings are growing rapidly

In the UK, unsubsidised solar buildings have been growing rapidly since the end of containment. Some projects are being continued; others are being launched. More than

1 GW of new large-scale solar sites entered the pipeline in September 2020 alone. This is the new monthly capacity record. This new capacity has been spread over 28 sites and includes a future 350 MW solar power plant proposed by EDF. This brings the UK's solar sector to 12 GW, a third of which was launched in the last six months.
