600 W panels always raise questions
Trina Solar's answers to questions about 600 W panels
Panels using 210 mm cells are currently suitable for the following applications
to the ground power plants. They are not intended for residential roofs. For two years, they will be equipped with panels comprising 158 and 166 mm cells. Soon, manufacturers will offer 40 cell panels using 182 mm and 210 mm wafers because these larger wafers provide greater energy output than smaller cells.
Trina Solar has avoided using the 182 mm format," which is only a transition format. 210 mm is the future, as this format can offer lower average electricity costs and higher energy efficiency. It will be the next consumer format".
A large wafer format does not imply a higher frequency of micro-cracks, as Trina Solar's cutting method is non-destructive. The cells can maintain good mechanical load properties.

Editor's note It is certain that the 210 (M12) format will become the preferred format if it brings an increase in energy production compared to other formats. Like any new format, it must be tamed and mastered.
