Bi-directional UPS for uninterruptible power supply (UPS)

Researchers at the China University of Science and Technology have developed a new topology for a bi-directional UPS (uninterruptible power supply). The design of this inverter,

with battery backup, is based on a solar charge controller that analyses the maximum power point (MPPT) based on an artificial fish warming algorithm.
