New world record for low price at auction

Portugal reports that in the preliminary results of its auction, price proposals from

0.01316 / kWh were made, which represents a new world record. This was made possible by a 15-year contract, privileged access to land, and a guaranteed connection to the grid.

Hanwha Q Cells obtained about 300 MW out of the 700 MW allocated. The other winners are Iberdrola, Enel and the French company Tag Energy, a subsidiary of the French company Impala (shareholder of Neoen).

The lowest offer, according to the newspaper Expresso, would have been 0.0112 € / kWh, slightly below the EDF-JinkoSolar offer of 0.0135 € / kWh.
