New technique for separating bottom sheets from panels
Chinese people used a 720 W industrial grade ultrasonic cleaner - with a nominal frequency of 28 kHz and 1,000 W of heating power.
- to separate the bottom sheets of photovoltaic panels at the end of their life. They used a mixed solution of organic solvents (benzyl alcohol and butanone), water and ultrasonic radiation. The backsheet could be removed in four hours and at a temperature of 50°C.
