Chinese scientists have developed a single-layer organic solar cell based on non-fullerene acceptors with an improved fill factor and short-circuit current density. They have achieved
their results with a new morphology that could be more adapted to the vertical transport of loads. The researchers said they achieved this result with an efficient donor-acceptor mix and a particular film morphology. They explained that the latter is crucial for improving cell fill factor and short-circuit current density.
