Getting to know agrovoltaics better
SolarPower Europe would like to develop agriculture sheltered by solar panels (agrovoltaics). This organisation
will set up a working group to develop this form of energy production and agricultural support. This combination increases the yield of agricultural crops, reduces water consumption and produces renewable electricity.

Editor's note Agrivoltaics is in fashion. It is seen as the miracle cure for the occupation of agricultural land by solar power plants, by making the two co-exist. Is this just the concern of plant developers or is it really useful for farmers? We're still in the experimental stage. In agriculture, however, it takes several years to reach a conclusion.
