A map to find the best places to install solar power plants
Researchers from the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia have proposed a new methodology for classifying the world's climate: its main purpose is to evaluate the performance of solar projects. They used the most widely used climate classification system, the Köppen-Geiger map. It divides the globe into 12 temperature, precipitation and radiation zones. It provides a basis for analysing the performance and long-term reliability of photovoltaic panels.
