Virtual centre with 10,000 participants
The Japanese company Eneres wants to launch a virtual centre with 10,000 participants. He will use the software of the Californian Autogrid. The first phase
of the project will only pool resources on demand. The second phase from 2021 will create the virtual power plant by adding storage, photovoltaic production, electric vehicle batteries and combined heat and power assets.
In Australia Western Europe, the American Sempra Energy has launched a decentralised energy management platform (PXiSE) and will manage a virtual power station with up to 50,000 participants.
AutoGrid has subcontracted 5 GW of distributed energy resources "and works with more than 50 major energy companies worldwide".
