The State of Karnataka plans to reduce the solar tariff on roofs with an output of less than 500 kW

The Renewable Energy Agency of the Indian state of Karnataka is considering reducing the solar tariff on roofs with a power output of less than 500 kW from Rs. 9.56 ($0.14)/kWh to Rs. 8.40 ($0.12). Owners who have obtained a 30% reduction on their installation price would see their kWh paid at Rs.6.51 ($0.09) compared to the current Rs.7.20 ($0.10). These rates would apply from1 January 2016.
